ABOUT
I am a registered clinical counsellor with more than 30 years experience working with children, youth, and parents in the North Vancouver public school system. I now run a private counselling practice serving adults and couples.
I began my career as an elementary school teacher. As my career progressed, I did continuing education in child psychology and parent education courses. Eventually, I did a Master of Counselling degree, which allowed me to work as a clinical counsellor with at-risk high school students and/or their parents.
As a therapist, I tailor the treatment to you. I employ a number of evidence-based approaches to enhance quality of life.
I can offer support with a number of challenges including but not limited to:
-
Building resilience;
-
Strengthening relationships;
-
Managing depression & anxiety;
-
Handling loss, including death, divorce, and health; and,
-
Improving parenting skills.
